To be honest, the item I was most looking forward to in the little HJY series was the T-shirt.
I wanted to turn a drawing my child made when they were about two years old into actual wearable clothing.
And the result?
It was much prettier than I expected.
The first thing I liked was the color scheme.
The actual colors were much prettier than they looked on the screen.
With the black character placed against a vivid red background,
the character comes to life clearly.
The simple lines and free-spirited vibe characteristic of a child's drawing were also well-expressed.
It looked better than I expected when worn, too.
Since the character isn't excessively large,
it doesn't look childish,
and actually feels like a small brand logo.
The front features just the character,
while the back includes the little HJY logo.
So, there are points of interest on both the front and the back.
What I particularly liked was
the fact that this drawing was originally a scribble by a two-year-old. Seeing the child, now a middle school student, wearing a T-shirt featuring a drawing from their childhood,
was strangely touching, more so than I expected.
However, there was one regrettable aspect.
Above the logo on the back,
there remained an indentation that appeared to have been caused by the pressing process.
While it seems likely to soften with washing or use,
it was definitely a disappointing point based on the first impression.
It stood out even more because the design itself was so satisfying.
